Ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polyethylene(UHMWPE)

UHMWPE rope

General:

  • The product is made of UHMWPE Fibers and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, which is one of the strongest fibers in the world and is the excellent replacement of wire rope.
  • The rope as inert material has excellent resistance to UV and oxidation resistance.
  • The rope has excellent resistance to bending strength. According to the international Marine industry Association test method currently that its extremely surprising fatigue strength is more than 20 times than that of steel wire rope, polyamide rope and polyester cord and 30 times over that of polypropylene rope.
  • At only 1/8th the weight of wire, it is a safe and efficient solution for all marine applications where wire is traditionally used. The combination of UHMWPE provides abrasion and tension fatigue resistance for superior wear.
  • The product is widely used in the military equipment, spaceflight aviation, ocean-going ships and oil platforms, naval vessel, special electric power communication cable, large container ship and may other fields.

3) UHMWPE fiber rope for Offshore stationkeeping

  • Confirms to ISO/TS14909: 2012 High modulus polyethylene fiber ropes for offshore stationkeeping
  • Platform mooring ropes creep requirement: The length of the rope of nominal length should be in multiples of 100 meters. In the case of less than 20% of mbs (except otherwise stipulated in the contract), platform mooring rope structure by Neutral reverse-type (tf)  rope can be used with the chain, or a neutral metal rope together with the structure of the reverse twist wring of mooring system.
